About the Learnership
The Discovery Insure Learnership provides unemployed young South Africans with an opportunity to gain valuable workplace experience while working towards a nationally recognised qualification.
Learners will be introduced to the short-term insurance industry and gain practical exposure to the operations and business environment of Discovery Insure.
Duties and Responsibilities
Learners may be exposed to various areas of the Short-Term Insurance business, including:
- Gaining practical workplace experience within the insurance industry.
- Learning about short-term insurance products and business processes.
- Developing professional and workplace skills.
- Participating in structured learning and development activities.
- Supporting business functions as required during the learnership.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following educational requirements:
- Grade 12 / Matric.
- Mathematics: Minimum Level 4 (50%).
- English: Minimum Level 4 (50%).
- Mathematical Literacy: Minimum Level 5 (60% or higher).
- A second language, such as a home language: Minimum Level 4 (50%).
Learnership Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for consideration, applicants must:
- Be a South African citizen by birth.
- Be between 18 and 25 years old during 2027.
- Be unemployed.
- Have completed Grade 12 / Matric.
- Not have completed a tertiary education qualification.
- Not be studying during the learnership period.
- Not be enrolled in any post-Matric studies.
- Have no formal work experience.
- Not have previously completed a learnership.
