Job Overview
Pedros is looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Debtors and Creditors Clerk to support the finance function at its Distribution Centre in Polokwane.
The successful candidate will be responsible for debtors and creditors administration, cashbook processing, account reconciliations, invoicing, supplier payments and general finance administration.
Duties & Responsibilities
Complete debtors and creditors functions.
Process cashbook transactions.
Reconcile accounts.
Perform ad hoc administrative duties.
Prepare daily sales order listings.
Process customer invoices accurately according to the correct price and quantity.
Run customer statements in accordance with Pedros SOPs.
Assist with customer queries.
Follow up on customer Proof of Deliveries (PODs).
Prepare the weekly POD file for review.
Process Goods Received Vouchers (GRVs) and supplier invoices.
Prepare payments and process supplier payments.
Maintain electronic filing systems and update departmental registers.
Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Apply sound accounting concepts and principles.
Work effectively within a team and under pressure.
Demonstrate a passion for accounting and finance.
Apply effective time management, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats.
Minimum Requirements
Matric / Grade 12.
Proficiency in the full Microsoft Office suite.
At least 3 years' experience in a Debtors and Creditors Clerk role.
Sound understanding of the finance function.
Hands-on approach to financial administration.
Strong attention to detail and a proven track record.
Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation.
Advantageous
Experience with Sage 200 Evolution.
Experience in the FMCG, fast-food or retail sectors.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate should be organised, accurate and able to work effectively under pressure. Strong accounting knowledge, communication skills and the ability to manage competing priorities will be important in this role.
