The City of Ekurhuleni is inviting suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of Clerk (Refuse Areas & Teams), Reference Number ERWM20557 within the Environmental Resource & Waste Management Department. The successful candidate will provide administrative and customer-service support, maintain records, manage staff attendance documentation and assist with financial administration processes.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
Matric/Grade 12.
A 1-year post-matric certificate in Administration or a related field.
At least 1 year of experience in administration or financial administration.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Receiving complaints telephonically or in person and ensuring proper customer service.
Handling complaints and enquiries efficiently.
Typing general correspondence, memoranda, letters, minutes and other documents.
Maintaining an up-to-date archive system.
Performing administrative duties relating to staff members.
Controlling staff attendance registers and completing timesheets.
Providing administrative support to ensure that levies charged are correctly billed by the Finance Department.
Promoting good governance and risk management.
Ensuring compliance with legislative requirements, Council-approved policies and procedures.
Supporting sound financial management to prevent wastage of financial resources.
Maintaining good customer relations and ensuring customer satisfaction.
