Job Purpose
GALXBOY is looking for a passionate and customer-focused Sales Assistant to join the team at Sandton City. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and driving sales performance while maintaining the brand’s high standards.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service
Welcome and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
Provide product knowledge, recommendations, and styling advice.
Apply upselling and cross-selling techniques to increase sales and customer satisfaction.
Promote available payment options, including Payflex, PayJustNow (PJN), and Happy Pay.
Represent the GALXBOY brand by maintaining professional grooming and adhering to company uniform standards.
Visual Merchandising
Ensure products are correctly displayed according to visual merchandising guidelines.
Assist with steaming, tagging, pricing, folding, hanging, and replenishing stock.
Maintain a clean, attractive, and organised sales floor.
Demonstrate knowledge of product materials, pricing, and care instructions.
Stock Control
Keep the stockroom clean, organised, and easily accessible.
Monitor stock levels and communicate stock shortages, best-sellers, and replenishment needs to management.
Ensure stock is accurately stored within the correct categories.
Store Operations
Follow attendance procedures and work schedules as required.
Accurately process customer transactions using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
Handle cash, card payments, and alternative payment methods efficiently.
Maintain housekeeping standards throughout the store.
Minimum Requirements
Grade 12 / Matric certificate.
Basic computer literacy.
1–2 years of retail experience preferred.
Knowledge of retail operations and customer service principles.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Advantageous
Relevant tertiary qualification.
Previous experience in fashion retail or streetwear brands.
