Job Overview
The purpose of the People Support Desk Coordinator role is to attend to and resolve basic employee queries submitted via telephone or email relating to payroll, benefits, mobility, organisation management, HR system incident management, compensation, and learning for the Shoprite Group.
Job Objectives
Provide an excellent customer service experience to all Shoprite employees through clear communication and feedback.
Participate in all People Service Desk activities to support the Group’s employee value proposition and employee experience.
Receive and log queries, requests, and incidents on the relevant system to generate a record of employee or line manager engagement.
Resolve level one support queries and update the relevant employee records.
Apply Group People Support Desk processes in accordance with agreed standards and procedures.
Contact employees and/or line managers as required to facilitate the delivery of People services.
Qualifications
Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate (essential).
Diploma in Human Resources, Customer Services, or equivalent (beneficial).
Experience
1 year experience in an HR Contact Centre or shared service environment with exposure to interacting with employees in functional areas such as payroll, benefits, organisation management, or equivalent (essential).
Knowledge and Skills
Experience within the FMCG, retail sector, or a similar environment (preferred).
