Job Description

Protea Hotel Cape Town North Wharf is currently seeking a Front Desk Agent (Guest Experience Expert) to join its hospitality team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating memorable guest experiences by delivering exceptional customer service throughout each guest’s stay.

As a Guest Experience Expert, you will handle guest check-ins and check-outs, assist with guest requests, provide information about local attractions, complete operational reports, and support luggage handling when required. This role requires a proactive approach to ensuring guests receive professional and personalized service at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests and provide outstanding customer service.

  • Process guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently.

  • Handle guest enquiries, requests, and concerns professionally.

  • Assist with operational and administrative duties.

  • Provide information about local attractions and services.

  • Support guests with luggage handling and transportation assistance.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 / Matric certificate or equivalent qualification.

  • No previous work experience required.

  • No supervisory experience required.

  • No license or certification required.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong customer service orientation.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Willingness to stand, walk, lift, and move throughout shifts.
