About the Position

A leading retail contact centre is offering an exciting opportunity through the Youth Employment Service (YES) Programme for young South Africans seeking their first meaningful work experience. This 12-month contract provides valuable exposure to a fast-paced customer service environment while developing essential workplace and sales skills.

The successful candidates will serve as brand ambassadors, delivering exceptional customer experiences, assisting customers with product-related queries, and contributing to sales performance targets.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service

  • Deliver outstanding customer service and represent the brand professionally.

  • Assist customers by identifying their needs and providing suitable solutions.

  • Build and maintain positive customer relationships.

  • Ensure customer expectations are consistently exceeded.

Sales Support

  • Achieve and exceed individual sales targets.

  • Identify opportunities to generate new sales.

  • Promote and sell a diverse range of products.

  • Stay informed about current décor, fashion, and retail trends.

Operational Support

  • Monitor and track sales performance against targets.

  • Assist with stock replenishment and merchandising activities where required.

  • Ensure the workplace remains customer-ready at all times.

  • Maintain accurate records and follow operational procedures.

Minimum Requirements

Essential Requirements

  • Aged between 18 and 29 years old.

  • Grade 12 (Matric) qualification preferred.

  • Available to work on a fixed-term contract from July 2026 to June 2027.

  • Must not have participated in the YES Programme previously.

  • Must not be studying full-time during the contract period.

  • Must not have been permanently employed by a single employer continuously for more than one year.

  • Must be able to arrange personal transportation where applicable.
