Job Description
The purpose of this position is to offload trucks, collect and test samples, perform truck inspections, and maintain housekeeping in the intake area. The role includes assisting with the repair and maintenance of intake machines while ensuring compliance with food safety and health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities

Offload trucks and collect samples.

Conduct truck inspections.
-
Test samples and deliver them to the laboratory.
-
Clean the intake offloading area, clear chokes and overflowing bins.

Clean intake machines and maintain general housekeeping.
-
Assist in repairing and maintaining intake machines.
-
Ensure compliance with Food Safety and Health & Safety regulations.

Operate and use tools and equipment safely and correctly.

Perform heavy physical labour when required.

Follow plans, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and instructions.

Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Maintain cooperative and respectful working relationships.

Work under pressure in a production environment.
Qualification Requirements
-
Grade 12 (Matric) – Essential.
Experience Requirements
-
2–3 years of relevant experience in a similar trade.
-
Exposure to milling operations or mill processes will be an advantage.
Other Requirements
-
Must be able to work in extreme hot and cold weather conditions.
-
This is a 5-day position, but may require overtime and after-hours work as needed.
