Main Purpose of the Job
To assist the driver with the safe loading and offloading of glass products, and to support the safe maneuvering of the delivery vehicle. The truck must be loaded and offloaded on level ground where possible, with loads secured in accordance with procedures. The assistant must also ensure that glass remains properly tied and secure throughout transport.
Key Responsibilities

Identify the safest and most suitable place to load and offload the vehicle.

Complete a quality check sheet during the loading process.

Ensure glass is loaded and offloaded safely and according to standards.

Assist the driver and report any damage to property or goods.

Ensure the load is re-secured before departing from a delivery site.

Guide the driver during reversing or when maneuvering in tight or obscured spaces.

Support with the handling and control of delivery paperwork where possible.

Follow all work instructions, standard operating procedures, and business rules.

Comply with environmental, safety, and housekeeping standards.

Perform any additional tasks assigned by the factory supervisor to the best of your ability.

Be available to work overtime and weekends when required.
Critical Job Requirements
Qualifications

Grade 12 (Matric)
-
Code 10 or higher driver’s license with valid PrDP will be an advantage
