Purpose of the Job

To ensure the accurate, timely, safe, and high-quality execution of fuel deliveries to customers throughout the Sasol Retail and Commercial network. This includes adherence to safety and environmental standards, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency.


Key Accountabilities

  • Execute on-time and in-full fuel deliveries using Sasol’s fleet.

  • Ensure accurate completion of loading instructions (Fuel FACS and Renaissance systems).

  • Conduct pre-trip inspections and report any vehicle defects.

  • Maintain regular communication with the Logistics Command Centre for any route or delivery deviations.

  • Accurately complete all shipment records, including explanations for any fuel gains or losses.

  • Adhere to the prescribed delivery sequence to optimize route efficiency.

  • Minimize unproductive time and identify potential operational risks, including OHS Act compliance.

  • Report and log all incidents; participate in root cause analysis (RCA) where applicable.

  • Ensure no spillages or fuel contaminations during delivery operations.

  • Strictly follow all SHERQ (Safety, Health, Environment, Risk, and Quality) procedures.

  • Adhere to all site-specific operational policies and procedures.


Minimum Requirements

Education & Licenses

  • Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate

  • Valid Code EC (Code 14) Driver’s License

  • Valid Professional Driver Permit (PrDP)

  • Valid Dangerous Goods with Hazchem Certificate

Experience

  • 2 to 5 years of driving experience within the petroleum/fuel industry
