Main Purpose of the Job:
To support warehouse operations by ensuring accurate receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch of parts while delivering excellent customer service in line with Volvo standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Receiving / Inbound:
-
Receive goods per Volvo procedure
-
Verify accuracy of parts received and report discrepancies
-
Bin parts based on system allocations
Outbound / Dispatch:
-
Pick, pack, and distribute parts per order
-
Ensure correct parts and quantities are dispatched
-
Support workshop by delivering parts efficiently
Credit Notes:
-
Ensure correct processing and filing of credit notes
-
Follow return procedures (e.g., no return of electrical parts)
Stock Control:
-
Perform daily perpetual stock counts
-
Investigate and authorize stock adjustments
-
Verify bin locations regularly
Housekeeping:
-
Keep warehouse clean and organized
-
Ensure parts are properly stored and waste is removed promptly
Exchange Parts:
-
Check returned parts meet exchange standards
-
Store and prepare parts for return to suppliers
-
Ensure proper labeling and packing of core returns
Health and Safety:
-
Ensure compliance with Volvo’s health and safety rules
Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum Requirements:
-
Matric / Grade 12
-
Diploma in Warehouse Management or at least 3 years’ warehouse experience
