Job Purpose

To utilise trade or technical knowledge within the automotive industry to conduct inspections and complete assessments on a wide variety of municipal fleet vehicles, determining the nature and extent of damages and required repairs.

Key Responsibilities

Assess vehicle damage and determine repair requirements
Interpret work specifications and technical procedures
Prepare detailed assessments using trade knowledge in body repair and spray painting
Document inspection findings and update databases
Complete vehicle assessment forms with identification and damage details
Track progress of repair-related activities and recommend remedial actions
Ensure compliance with municipal procedures and quality standards

Essential Requirements

Trade Test Certificate in one of the following:
- Body Building
- Panel Beating (Automotive Body Repair)
- Spray Painting
Valid Code C Driver’s License
Minimum of 3 years relevant experience
Computer literacy

Preferred Requirements

4 years relevant experience
