Purpose of the Role:

To improve equipment reliability and optimise maintenance costs across selected machine groups in the packaging department. The role involves technical collaboration, hands-on execution of Autonomous Operations (AO), coaching, problem-solving, and project management to support world-class operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Equipment Reliability & Maintenance

Maintain a safe, compliant, and reliable working environment
Deliver equipment uptime, zero safety/quality incidents, and control on resource usage (VIC – water, energy, etc.)
Use data-driven techniques to sustain and enhance equipment performance
Implement and improve preventive and predictive maintenance plans
Manage spare parts and maintenance budgets (ZBB compliance)

People Development & Coaching

Support and coach artisans and operators to build technical capability
Identify and address technical skills gaps
Develop SOPs and SWIs to codify technical knowledge

Problem Solving & Projects

Participate in root cause analysis, 5 Whys, PDCA, and abnormality reporting
Drive machine-related projects to improve performance, cost, and reliability
Collaborate with Zone Technical Experts (ZTEs), Vendors, and Reverse Engineering Specialists

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related field
Additional business qualification is advantageous
2–3 years' experience in a similar FMCG environment (e.g., senior technician or supervisor)
Belt qualification (Lean/TPM Six Sigma) preferred
