Call Centre Agent

Job Type: Full-Time
Location: Rietfontein, Germiston, Gauteng, South Africa
Department: Sales / Customer Care
Purpose of the Role:
To drive customer engagement through daily outbound calls, active sales, customer care, and up-selling efforts, ensuring customer satisfaction while growing the order basket size.


Key Responsibilities

  • Order Management:

    • Contact existing customers to place and capture accurate orders

    • Follow up on deliveries to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment

    • Update and maintain customer and order records

  • Sales & Customer Engagement:

    • Actively promote and hard-sell products to customers

    • Upsell to increase the basket size

    • Activate inactive customers to generate repeat business

    • Communicate category-specific promotions and deals

    • Support sales in remote/outlying regions lacking in-person sales visits

  • Customer Service & Relationship Building:

    • Provide professional customer care and support

    • Address customer queries, complaints, or concerns efficiently

    • Build strong and long-term customer relationships

    • Collaborate with internal teams for smooth order processing and logistics

  • Performance:

    • Meet and exceed sales and performance targets set by management


Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric)mandatory
