Purpose of the Role:

To provide expert advice and excellent customer service in the beauty and wellness department by promoting, demonstrating, and selling skincare and cosmetic products while maintaining operational and merchandising standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Advise customers on beauty products, prices, and usage
Perform product demonstrations tailored to customer needs
Promote cross-selling and up-sell beauty products to maximize sales
Ensure neat presentation of stock and maintain shelf merchandising
Stay up to date on product ranges, trends, and promotions
Provide exceptional customer service and handle queries professionally
Support with stock management, shrink control, and general admin
Assist with ad hoc non-dispensary duties when required

Minimum Requirements:

Qualifications:

Essential: Grade 12 / Matric
Desirable: Certification in Beauty Therapy, Makeup, or Cosmetology

Experience:

Proven experience in a beauty/skincare retail environment
At least 5 months of point-of-sale (till) experience

Key Skills and Attributes:

Strong product knowledge of cosmetics and skincare
Ability to match products to different skin types and needs
Sales-driven with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Fluent in English and Afrikaans (preferred)
Engaging, friendly personality with a customer-first attitude
Understanding of retail operations, merchandising, and promotions
Familiarity with payment procedures (cash, cards, vouchers, etc.)
Strong administrative and stock control skills
