About the Apprenticeship:
This is a 3-year in-service training contract for matriculants aspiring to become qualified Tractor or Earthmoving Mechanics/Technicians. The first 6 months are probation, allowing either party to withdraw without consequence. Following probation, the apprentice signs a contract and begins formal training with AFGRI.
What You Will Do:

Learn to repair and maintain tractors or earthmoving equipment

Manage stock control and deliver excellent customer service

Participate in product and technical training from John Deere and other suppliers

Attend practical training institutes and study distance learning subjects as required
Requirements:

Valid Driver’s License
-
Communication, administration, and computer literacy skills
-
N2 subjects (or equivalent Matric subjects):
-
Mathematics
-
Engineering Science
-
Diesel Trade Theory
-
Plus one of: Industrial Electronics, Engineering/Technical Drawing, Motor Trade Theory

If lacking N2 qualifications, AFGRI will sponsor further education as part of the program
