Overview:
This apprenticeship offers hands-on training in aircraft maintenance under the mentorship of experienced Mechanical or Avionics Technicians. Apprentices will assist with repairs, maintenance, servicing, and preparation of aircraft, while gaining exposure to flight line, short visit, and heavy maintenance activities.
Key Training Areas & Duties:

Assist in diagnosing and repairing aircraft electrical/mechanical systems

Learn to use hand tools, testing equipment, and aviation tooling

Gain exposure to maintenance types: Flight Line, Short Visit, and Heavy Maintenance

Support fueling and defueling procedures

Learn to complete and manage technical documentation
-
Train to operate ground power units and other service equipment
-
Maintain tools, service vehicles, and workspace
-
Follow strict safety protocols and use PPE at all times
Requirements:

Grade 12 / Matric – Essential

Completed theoretical aviation training qualification (Mechanical or Avionics) – Essential

Basic Microsoft Office proficiency

Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
