Trainee Manager

Job Purpose

To optimize sales and exceed customer expectations by executing the store’s operational strategy and effectively leading the team. As a Trainee Manager, you will act as a brand ambassador and uphold high standards within the store.


Key Responsibilities & Expectations

  • Represent and uphold the brand image of the store.

  • Be energetic, driven, and a self-starter.

  • Assist with or lead store operations, including merchandising, stock control, and cost management.

  • Maintain high visual and operational standards within the store.

  • Influence, support, and develop your team.

  • Show a strong interest in personal development and staff development.

  • Communicate fluently in English (verbal and written); proficiency in a second official language is an advantage.


Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 / Matric – compulsory

  • Further qualifications in retail or business – advantageous

  • At least 2 years of retail experience, including 1 year in a supervisory or management role

  • Strong skills in merchandise management, stock control, and cost control

  • Proven leadership ability and team influence
