Job Purpose
To safely and accurately carry out agricultural tasks related to the preparation, mixing, and application of agrichemicals and fertilizers in greenhouse and field environments, in accordance with company procedures and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities

Wear appropriate PPE before handling agrichemicals.

Clean, calibrate, and prepare spray and measuring equipment before use.

Follow spray instructions precisely as provided.

Mix chemicals according to prescribed dosages and procedures.
-
Ensure greenhouse evacuation prior to spraying for staff safety.
-
Safely operate spray equipment (including electric spray carts and trailers).
-
Apply agrichemicals using appropriate methods: foliar, root drench, or drip.
-
Pause the irrigation system safely before chemical mixing.
-
Add fertilizers correctly into designated tanks as per programme.

Inspect and maintain measuring equipment.

Store probes safely to avoid damage.

Measure and record water volume, EC (electrical conductivity), and pH levels accurately.
Minimum Requirements

Education: National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) with Mathematics (Essential)

Physical Requirements:
-
Ability to lift/move bags up to 25 kg
-
Ability to work in enclosed spaces (e.g., pump house, greenhouse)

Physical strength to handle heavy-duty spray hoses

Other Skills:

Basic math for measuring and calculations

Ability to measure liquids and solids accurately

Knowledge of safety protocols and equipment handling

Good communication and visual acuity (color vision, depth perception, etc.)
