Role Overview

The Sales Representative is responsible for achieving revenue, volume, and growth targets while managing customer relationships and driving operational efficiency on route. This role is essential to meeting the company’s sales objectives and delivering consistent performance within the Pietermaritzburg region.


Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve revenue and volume targets in line with the Annual Operating Plan

  • Complete 100% customer calls and maintain a 90% strike rate

  • Maintain stales threshold at or below 0.5%

  • Secure new business in alignment with company growth targets

  • Manage cash and stock efficiently

  • Analyze route reports to identify and implement improvements

  • Control costs by operating the vehicle efficiently

  • Comply with company policies, including Sales and Health & Safety regulations

  • Ensure upkeep and responsible use of company assets (vehicle, handheld devices, uniform, mobile phone)


Minimum Qualifications & Experience

  • 3-year Business or Commercial tertiary qualification

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in an FMCG environment, including at least 1 year in a sales role

  • Minimum of 1 year of vehicle operation experience

  • Valid Code 10 Driver’s License

  • Valid Public Driver’s Permit (PDP)

  • Certified Defensive Driving Certification
