Job Overview:
ANEW Hotel Roodepoort is seeking a well-presented and customer-focused Receptionist to join our Front Office team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering efficient, friendly, and professional service to guests during check-in, check-out, and throughout their stay. This is a vital role in ensuring a positive guest experience and supporting the hotel’s commitment to service excellence.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12 / National Certificate (essential)

  • Minimum of 1 year reception experience (preferably in hospitality)

  • Tertiary qualification in Hospitality or Tourism Management (advantageous)

  • Proficiency in MS Office and strong working knowledge of Opera system

  • Bilingual (advantageous)

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Immaculate grooming and professional demeanor

  • Reliable, innovative, and service-driven


Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome guests in a professional and courteous manner

  • Manage the check-in and check-out process efficiently using hotel systems

  • Ensure all guest registration details are accurately recorded and payment is secured

  • Maintain guest profiles and update relevant information such as nationality statistics

  • Assist with guest reservations and inquiries both in person and over the phone

  • Maintain a tidy and professional Front Office environment

  • Support the Front Office Manager and Supervisors with reception procedures and administration

  • Handle guest concerns and provide effective solutions promptly

  • Adhere to hotel policies, grooming standards, and service procedures
