Main Purpose of Job:
Respond to emergency calls and provide basic medical care within the defined scope of practice.
Key Responsibilities:

Maintain operational readiness for emergency responses

Provide patient care according to scope of practice

Promote and maintain a positive public image of ER24
Required Education:
-
Essential: Basic Ambulance Assistant Certificate
-
Desirable: Training related to Clinical Practice Guidelines (HPCSA). If not completed at application, must complete during probation.
Required Experience:
-
Essential: 6 months to 1 year of Basic Life Support (BLS) road experience

Desirable: 2 years of BLS road experience
Skills and Knowledge:
-
Knowledge of facilities, travel routes, and demographics in Limpopo
-
Familiarity with HPCSA guidelines and EMS scope of practice
-
Application of best EMS practices
-
Proficient in English (written and verbal)

Experience with Patient Report Forms
