Job Purpose

To perform general building maintenance and repairs (plumbing, carpentry, painting, welding, etc.) as part of a planned preventative and reactive maintenance program, ensuring safe and efficient workplace operations in line with the Master Service Agreement.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Delivery:

• Conduct maintenance on plumbing, carpentry, welding, painting, and general building tasks.

• Keep workshop and job sites clean and organized.

• Maintain tools in good working order.

• Assist with preventive and reactive maintenance.

• Perform inspections in line with OHSA (Occupational Health & Safety Act).

• Supervise sub-contractors, ensuring compliance and proper cleanup.

Service Management:

• Meet performance standards as outlined in SLAs.

• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance work, warranties, and licenses.

Customer Service:

• Engage with clients professionally and respond to queries efficiently.

• Maintain a customer-focused approach.

• Escalate and resolve client issues as needed.

Reporting:

• Submit weekly or monthly reports as requested.

• Maintain updated maintenance logs and documentation.

Code of Conduct:

• Take ownership of personal performance and uphold company standards.

• Adhere to Tsebo's Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality (SHEQ) policies.

• Support Tsebo’s values and professional image.

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications:

• Matric (Grade 12)

• NQF Level 4 technical qualification (advantageous)

Experience:

• 2 to 5 years of experience in a similar maintenance or facilities environment

Skills and Competencies:

• Experience with plumbing, carpentry, electrical systems

• Strong knowledge of maintenance tools and materials

• Time management and problem-solving skills

• Supplier and sub-contractor coordination

• Familiarity with building infrastructure and layouts

• Customer-centric attitude with good communication abilitie
