Purpose of the Role

To safely operate a forklift for the movement of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods within the production plant and warehouse. The role also includes palletizing, stacking, wrapping, loading, and general support in maintaining safe, organized work areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Transport raw materials to and from the production area

• Move and stack raw materials, packaging, and finished products

• Load and offload stock from delivery vehicles

• Wrap and palletize packed products

• Assist with regular stock counts

• Conduct daily forklift inspections and report any issues

• Maintain clean and organized storage and work areas in line with safety and housekeeping standards

• Ensure timely movement of all requested materials

• Support the company’s “Zero Harm” safety initiative

Qualifications and Experience

• Matric / Grade 12

• Valid forklift license

• Ability to read and write in English

• Mechanical aptitude

• Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Food Safety (HACCP)
