Purpose

To deliver excellent customer service by accurately and efficiently processing transactions at the Point of Sale (POS), while maintaining speed, accuracy, and cleanliness in the service area.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

1. Process customer orders promptly and accurately according to standard operating procedures (SOP)

2. Maintain fast service delivery at the counter

3. Handle various payment types accurately and in line with SOP

4. Inform customers of current promotions to support upselling and drive sales

5. Use suggestive selling techniques to increase average transaction value

6. Ensure the front-of-house area is clean, hygienic, and well-stocked

7. Maintain front-of-house (FOH) stock levels in line with SOP

Requirements

• Education:

  • Senior Certificate required

  • National Senior Certificate preferred

• Skills:

  • Good literacy and numeracy skills

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Customer-focused mindset

• Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year as a cashier (experience in a Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) is preferred)
