Job Purpose
Support the delivery of Buying strategic and commercial objectives by efficiently executing operational and administrative buying functions. This includes data capturing, order placement, invoice processing, and handling queries from vendors, suppliers, distribution centers (DCs), and stores. The role works closely with the Buyer and Buying team to ensure commercial targets are met.
Key Responsibilities

Accurately capture and load buying data, pricing, and retail prices on systems (SAP Buying preferred)

Quality check cost and price information after setup by Buyers and Planners

Resolve store queries and manage product range adjustments (range/derange)

Support internal teams such as Checkline and Replenishers with ordering and stock availability

Maintain accurate and timely documentation including invoices, costing, and new article forms

Generate reports for Buyers to review and act upon

Monitor KPIs and escalate issues when needed

Liaise with DC Planners and ensure smooth communication on new products and deliveries
Qualifications and Experience

Essential: Grade 12 certificate

Experience: Minimum 1 year in a similar buying or planning administrative role, preferably in retail
Skills and Knowledge

Proficient in MS Office 365, with strong Excel skills (formulas, spreadsheets)

Exposure to retail buying environment

Desired: Experience with SAP Buying / Retail systems
