Introduction:
Bidvest Bank is seeking a service-oriented Inbound Contact Centre Agent to join their team in Braamfontein. The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service through inbound phone, email, and online interactions, building strong client relationships, and resolving queries efficiently. This role plays a critical part in ensuring client satisfaction and supporting the bank’s customer retention and growth efforts.
Key Responsibilities:

Handle inbound queries from customers via telephone, email, and online platforms.

Provide accurate product and service information in line with Bidvest Bank protocols.

Build strong and constructive relationships with customers.

Resolve customer queries without unnecessary referrals.

Use IT systems efficiently and accurately.

Identify opportunities to cross-sell and upsell relevant banking products.

Ensure all customer interactions align with quality and compliance standards.
Minimum Requirements:
Education and Training:

Matric (Grade 12)
-
RE5 qualification
-
FAIS-recognised qualification (or equivalent) is preferred
Experience:
-
1 to 2 years’ experience in a customer contact centre environment

Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant computer applications

Solid knowledge of customer service principles and practices
Technical Competencies:

Understanding of FAIS and FICA regulations and compliance
-
Strong communication skills and ability to calm and engage with irate customers

Ability to resolve queries in a professional and effective manner

Good understanding of banking products and ability to identify cross-selling opportunities

Strong customer service and relationship-building skills

Able to understand customer needs and suggest appropriate solutions

Capable of handling complex and sensitive situations confidently and tactfully
