As a Restaurant Manager (Patrao), you will be responsible for safeguarding the financial success of the restaurant, ensuring customer satisfaction, operational excellence, and team development — all while having a little fun along the way!


Minimum Requirements

  • Matric (Grade 12)

  • 3–5 years' experience in restaurant management

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Financial and business acumen

  • Coaching and mentoring capabilities

  • Experience leading and managing a team

  • Strong understanding of restaurant operations (product, people, customer)


Key Duties and Responsibilities

1. People Management

  • Conducts regular one-on-one sessions with team members

  • Provides mentorship, coaching, and disciplinary guidance when needed

  • Reviews performance and development plans for junior managers

  • Ensures a positive, inclusive, and safe work environment

  • Manages payroll and HR policy compliance

2. Operational Management

  • Oversees daily restaurant operations and customer service

  • Maintains compliance with brand and operating standards

  • Leads weekly management meetings and assigns responsibilities

  • Supports maintenance and capital improvement plans

  • Coordinates with Area and Facilities Managers

3. Financial Management

  • Assists in setting and managing the restaurant budget

  • Maintains strong financial controls and monitors profitability

  • Analyses financial reports (e.g. income statements, cash flow)

  • Manages expenditure, reconciles invoices, and ensures return on sales

  • Investigates and resolves weekly finance reports

4. Marketing & Community Engagement

  • Conducts quarterly brand reviews and implements changes

  • Plans and delivers community initiatives (CSI)

  • Builds local relationships (corporates, schools, government)
