Job Summary:
The Payroll Administrator will be responsible for ensuring that employees are paid accurately and on time. The ideal candidate must be able to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Minimum Requirements:

Grade 12 (Matric)

Relevant tertiary qualification (advantageous)

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a payroll environment

Experience with Sage 300 People is essential

Strong MS Excel skills

High level of confidentiality and discretion

Ability to work independently and under pressure

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to liaise at all levels

Duties and Responsibilities:

Gather payroll input from various sites with proper authorisation

Process payroll input accurately and on time

Complete full payroll processing cycle including new hires, leave, and terminations

Capture employee details on Sage 300 People (new employees, reinstatements, terminations)

Process leave where applicable

Complete and submit statutory documentation

Calculate travel reimbursements
-
Handle payroll-related queries and job confirmations
-
Provide payroll-related information and documentation for audits

Review and validate approved advances and overtime claims

Maintain up-to-date and accurate employee records
-
Prepare and submit funeral claims
-
Ensure proper document control and filing systems are maintained

Stay updated on changes to company policies and tax legislation impacting payroll
