Introduction

Tracker is looking to hire three Installation Technicians to join its Installations Department in Cape Town. This department is responsible for the professional installation of advanced electronic tracking equipment into various vehicle types. This role demands technical accuracy, excellent customer service, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

Install sophisticated tracking units into various vehicles (cars, motorbikes, trucks, buses, plant machinery)
Perform installations according to Tracker’s set standards and guidelines
Communicate professionally with customers and provide clear explanations of the installation process
Complete all installation documentation accurately and promptly
Travel to customer sites to perform installations at their convenience
Provide after-installation support where necessary
Ensure service excellence and represent the Tracker brand positively at all times

Minimum Requirements

Matric / Grade 12
Minimum 3 years’ experience in one or more of the following:
- Auto electrician work
- Vehicle tracking system installations
- Vehicle accessory or alarm installations
- Motor mechanic trade
National Technical Certificate in Automotive Electronics or Motor Mechanics (advantageous)
Valid driver’s license (held for at least 12 months)
Computer literacy
Strong administrative and communication skills
Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and within a team
Customer-focused with a professional appearance and manner
Willingness to travel as required
