Job Title: Salesperson
Position Type: Full-Time
Reports To: Sales Supervisor
We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused Salesperson to join our Pepkor Tech Division team. This role involves engaging with customers, driving sales growth, and ensuring an excellent customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Activities:
- Proactively perform sales activities to generate revenue.
- Meet and exceed sales targets and income goals.
Customer Engagement:
- Attract and retain customers through effective merchandising and customer interactions.
- Provide customer service in a friendly and professional manner.
Administrative Tasks:
- Process cash and credit transactions in compliance with company policies.
- Handle sales documentation accurately and efficiently.
Teamwork and Support:
- Collaborate with the sales team to ensure the store meets overall goals.
- Support team efforts to maintain a high standard of retail operations.
Minimum Requirements
- Education: Numeracy and literacy equivalent to Grade 12.
- Experience: 7–12 months of retail experience preferred.
Skills and Competencies
- Customer service orientation.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team.
- Initiative and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of sales methodologies, SAP systems, and applicable operating platforms.
- Familiarity with relevant legislation (NCA, CPA, OHASA).
- Extensive product knowledge in a specific category.
