Key Responsibilities
Procedures and Policies
- Adhere to and regularly improve legal department procedures.
- Deliver monthly tasks and reports on time.
Contract Management
- Ensure proper documentation for procurement and new business contracts.
- Manage the lifecycle of contracts, including tracking milestones, renewals, and expiration dates.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work with procurement, finance, and operations teams to gather contract-related information.
Record-keeping and Documentation
- Maintain accurate records of contracts, amendments, correspondence, and related documents.
- Document contract changes, approvals, and communications.
Legal Support
- Stay informed on legal developments affecting contract administration.
- Draft and finalise contracts with attention to formatting, accuracy, and compliance.
Administrative Duties
- Organise digital and physical contract records.
- Identify and address gaps in documentation or missing records.
Experience and Qualifications
Required:
- National Senior Certificate (NSC).
- Certificate or Diploma in Legal Support Services, Paralegal Studies, or Legal Secretary Studies.
Advantageous:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB).
- Short course in legal administration or document preparation (SAQA accredited).
Experience:
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in contract administration or legal support.

- Maintain detailed records and manage priorities effectively.
Technical Proficiency
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.

- Strong verbal and written abilities for correspondence and stakeholder interaction.

- Handle sensitive information with discretion and reliability.
