Main Purpose of the Role
To ensure the smooth operation of Media24’s electrical systems through maintenance, repairs, and adherence to safety standards, supporting the organization’s innovative and dynamic operations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain and inspect electrical installations, systems, and equipment.
- Conduct fault finding in electrical reticulation and equipment.
- Perform maintenance of three-phase controls and supply.
- Adhere to safety protocols, including lockout procedures and tool inspections.
- Handle building fixtures and fittings, ensuring proper repairs and replacements.
- Manage kitchen and other equipment maintenance as needed.
- Record and report completed work monthly.
- Track and budget for stock, tools, and equipment.
- Notify the Property Manager of required external contractor services.
- Collaborate with contractors providing SLA services.
- Address ad hoc requests from the Property Manager.
Qualifications and Experience
- Grade 12 or N3 equivalent.
- Red Seal Certification with a Three-Phase Electrical Tester qualification.
- Wireman’s license (essential).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the electrical field.
- Knowledge of general building maintenance and Health and Safety protocols.
- Valid driver’s license.
