Purpose of the Role
Clover is seeking a Claims Clerk to process credit notes and perform related administrative tasks. This position offers an exciting opportunity to support the Finance Department and is based at the Clover Clayville branch.
Key Responsibilities
Processing Credit Notes:
- Retrieve claims from the Shoprite portal or the Printing Clerk.
- Assess claim types, such as pricing, shortages, or returns.
- Capture pricing claims for investigation by the Pricing Department on the Price Claim Initiative.
- Release short credits and returns credits from the Limboland system.
- Assist the Shoprite Controller with reconciliations and queries.
- Follow up on unprocessed credit notes from various distribution warehouses.
Administrative Support:
- Perform general office duties and required administration.
- Maintain and update filing systems, records, and documentation.
- Handle customer and employee communications as needed.
- Provide relief support for colleagues when necessary.
- Meet deadlines set by the Credit Manager.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
Education:
- Grade 12 or equivalent NQF4 qualification.
Experience:
- Relevant experience applying job-related concepts, techniques, and processes.
- Proven experience working with senior management.
Skills:
- Fluent in Business English.
- Computer literacy at an intermediate level.
