Purpose of the Role
The Cashier at Pedros Mbhashe Mall will provide exceptional customer service by accurately and efficiently processing transactions on the Point of Sale (POS) system. The role is key to maintaining high standards of service and cleanliness while supporting sales growth.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service:
- Provide excellent customer service by processing orders accurately and according to standard operating procedures (SOP).
- Maintain speed of service to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Educate customers about current promotions and encourage sales.
- Use upselling or suggestive selling techniques to increase ticket averages.
Operational Duties:
- Ensure cleanliness and hygiene of the counter service areas as per SOP.
- Maintain Front of House (FOH) stock according to SOP.
- Process various payment types accurately, adhering to SOP.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
Education:
- National Senior Certificate (preferred).
- Senior Certificate (required).
Experience:
- One year of experience as a retail cashier, with preference for experience in a Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) environment.
Skills:
- Well-developed literacy and numeracy skills.
