Job Overview
ANEW Hotel Hilton seeks an energetic and customer-focused Waitron to provide excellent service, take orders, and enhance the dining experience for guests. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and knowledge of food and beverage service standards.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12) certificate (hospitality qualification is desirable).
- 1+ years of waiter experience in the hospitality industry (3- & 4-star properties preferred).
- Restaurant experience is essential.
- Familiarity with Plus Point systems and procedures.
- Exceptional customer service skills, attention to detail, and organizational ability.
- Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor.
- Must be willing to work shifts, nights, and weekends.
- Highly self-motivated and ambitious.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Engagement:
- Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival.
- Exhibit a polite, friendly, and hospitable demeanor at all times.
Menu Guidance & Order Management:
- Explain menu items, including preparation, ingredients, and presentation.
- Practice suggestive selling to enhance customer experience and increase sales.
- Accurately input orders using the Plus Point system.
Dining Experience:
- Ensure tables are set, cleaned, and prepared, including decorations and condiments.
- Adhere to cash handling procedures.
Conference Setup:
- Re-set and decorate conference venues to meet customer requirements.
Guest Farewell:
- Bid guests farewell with a positive attitude and encourage return visits.
