RCL Foods is seeking a Trip Recon Clerk to join its dynamic Finance team in the Group Services division. This role is essential to ensuring accurate reconciliation of shipments, billing, and credits while fostering excellent customer service and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Reconcile outgoing and returning trucks to ensure all loads are billed and credits are passed as needed.
- Validate completeness of shipments and ensure valid PODs (Proof of Delivery).
- Process credits accurately in line with invoice endorsements and claims.
- Communicate with customers regarding PODs, claims, and other related queries.
- Ensure compliance with upliftment processes and process relevant documentation.
- Liaise with internal departments for resolution of issues.
- Follow up on outstanding PODs and escalate unresolved issues.
- Monitor and action weekly activity reports.
- Manage supplier recalls, including passing credits, completing schedules, and processing recovery journals.
- Maintain and update unreconciled reports daily.
- Address customer and debtor queries efficiently.
Minimum Requirements
Education:
- Matric (Mathematics preferred).
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years in a logistics/warehousing environment.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in MS Office Excel, SAP, and Portfolio.
Competencies:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Initiative and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional customer service orientation.
