RCL Foods is looking for a Cashbook Clerk to join its dynamic baking business unit. This role is ideal for a driven, numerically skilled individual eager to contribute to financial processes at the Empangeni Depot. Reporting to the Depot Manager, the successful candidate will provide essential accounting support and insight to ensure accurate financial tracking and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Daily Receipts Processing:
- Receive and process credit notes and discounts after proper authorization.
- Count cash from drivers under camera surveillance and update the driver cash-up spreadsheet.
- Investigate and report driver cash shortages within 24 hours.
- Process driver cash-ups into JDE customer accounts.
- Handle petty cash payments and issue petty cash for casual wage expenses.
General Processing:
- Maintain an organized filing system.
- Manage the ordering and issuing of company pre-printed stationery.
Cash Handling:
- Accurately count and reconcile daily cash banking.
- Perform daily reconciliation of the cash vault machine.
Minimum Requirements
Education:
- NQF Level 4/5, Matric.
Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year in a credit control or cash handling environment.
- Proficiency in MS Excel.
- Experience with JDE or an ERP system is advantageous.
