Job Overview

Truworths seeks a detail-oriented and organized individual to oversee the administration and day-to-day operations of their store. The ideal candidate should have strong planning, organizational, and leadership skills, along with a passion for managing expenses and mitigating risks.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Store Administration and Compliance:

    • Manage daily, weekly, and monthly administrative tasks and checks.
    • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
    • Keep the Administration Manual updated with new procedural releases.
    • Oversee notice boards and conduct regular spot checks at service desks and fitting rooms.
  2. Staff Management:

    • Plan, schedule, and manage staff shifts using Blue Cube.
    • Recruit weekly flexi-timers and conduct interviews.
    • Train staff and conduct appraisals and performance management.
    • Implement disciplinary measures and manage industrial relations (IR) issues.
  3. Operational Duties:

    • Oversee the daily running of the store and conduct morning meetings with staff.
    • Monitor expenses and ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
    • Drive promotions and conduct alarm tests and fire evacuation drills.
  4. Customer Relations and Risk Management:

    • Ensure good customer relations and a security-conscious environment.
    • Perform refuse checks and manage hanger counts.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Proficient in computer literacy with excellent administrative skills.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Experience in performance management, IR, recruitment, and training.
