Position Summary:
SPAR North Rand, a division of The SPAR Group Ltd, is recruiting for a Statutory Administrator to join their team at the Distribution Centre in Olifantsfontein. The purpose of this role is to set up and maintain securities for new business and change of ownership for SUPERSPAR, SPAR, TOPS, SPAR Pharmacy, and manage the administration of these processes.
Key Performance Areas:
- Liaise with Retail Operations: Communicate with Retail Operations regarding new business and store ownership changes.
- Manage New Business Security: Work with prospective retailers on SPAR’s new business security requirements.
- Prepare Security Documentation: Assemble security packs for credit assessments, including notarial bonds, bank guarantees, surety ships, and option agreements.
- Credit Check and Due Diligence: Work with service providers for credit checks and due diligence on retailers as per company policy.
- Track New Business Process: Manage the process from application to registration, ensuring all securities are lodged, registered, and completed.
- Database Management: Maintain security databases on SAP and other relevant systems.
- Wine & Liquor License Reporting: Handle annual collection and reporting of wine and liquor licenses.
- Handle Loan and Securities Signatures: Coordinate signatures for Central Office loan and securities documentation.
- Credit Reviews: Conduct annual credit reviews and assist with litigation packs as needed.
- File Maintenance: Ensure proper maintenance of customer files.
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric (Grade 12).
- Post-Matric Qualification: A qualification in Commerce, Law, or related fields is recommended.
- Relevant Experience: Paralegal, securities, or credit management experience is an advantage.
- Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to liaise with people across various levels.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Negotiation skills.
- Intermediate Excel & Word skills are mandatory.
- Litigation experience is an advantage.
- Previous experience in working with securities and executing them is preferred.
