About the Position:

ANEW Hotel Centurion is seeking a professional and welcoming Receptionist to join the team at our front desk. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a warm, efficient, and accurate check-in and check-out experience for all guests. They will play a crucial role in creating positive first and last impressions for guests, handling reservations, and contributing to the mission and success of our hospitality brand. The ideal candidate should have excellent customer service skills, a strong attention to detail, and a passion for hospitality.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a similar reception or front desk role.
  • Education: Grade 12 qualification is essential; a tertiary qualification in Hospitality or Tourism Management is advantageous.
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Extensive experience with Opera hotel management software.
  • Language: Bilingual, with the ability to communicate effectively in both English and another language.
  • Attributes:
    • Strong communication skills, accountability, and a positive attitude.
    • Motivated and innovative, with an ability to work independently or as part of a team.
    • Excellent grooming and professional presentation at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reception Duties:
    • Welcome all guests in a courteous and friendly manner, ensuring efficient and smooth check-ins and check-outs.
    • Guide guests through the registration process, verifying that all details are accurate and complete as per hotel requirements.
    • Handle guest inquiries and reservations professionally, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail throughout each interaction.
  • Administrative Support:
    • Assist the Front Office Management and supervisors in carrying out daily reception procedures and maintaining a smooth workflow.
    • Maintain a neat and organized Front Office area, ensuring all documentation, guest forms, and registration information are properly stored and secured.
  • Guest Profile Management:
    • Ensure guest profiles are up-to-date, including nationality and payment details, to provide personalized service and meet hotel compliance standards.
    • Update reservation systems with guest information, ensuring efficient tracking and reporting of guest statistics.
  • Professional Standards:
    • Maintain a professional appearance, posture, and body language in line with the hotel’s grooming standards, contributing to a high-quality guest experience.
    • Uphold all hotel policies and procedures, ensuring that safety and confidentiality standards are strictly followed.
