Job Purpose:

To ensure the effective implementation of the billing value chain, providing support to management for accurate processing within the invoicing cycle for clients.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Qualifications: National Diploma or Diploma in Finance or a related field.
  • Experience: 3 years of relevant work experience in billing or revenue management.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Functional Management:

  • Process billing and finance activities accurately to minimize credit notes due to billing errors.
  • Investigate billing issues, engage relevant business units, and resolve any system issues with ICT when needed.
  • Verify invoice requests from business units with appropriate supporting documentation.
  • Manage sales orders, including validation and opening/closing jobs for designated areas.
  • Resolve customer queries, assist with payment-related customer requests, and compile refund requests.
  • Capture and review journal requests for revenue corrections.
  • Support Finance clerks in reconciling balance sheet accounts.
  • Monitor and address exceptions, discrepancies, and long-outstanding Work in Progress (WIP) items.
  • Assist with revenue management documentation, monthly reconciliations, and reporting.
  • Provide support in clearing billing backlogs, compiling reports, and audit documentation.

Risk and Compliance Management:

  • Adhere to fraud controls, governance, compliance processes, and quality standards.
  • Support audit and regulatory requirements, following ISO and other regulatory standards.
  • Maintain service level agreements (SLAs) to minimize business risk and ensure continuity.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, policies, and organizational Standard Operating Procedures.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders to ensure clear expectations and integration.
  • Represent the organization in committees and task teams as required.
  • Provide excellent customer service, addressing queries promptly and following up on unresolved complaints.
  • Communicate efficiently with stakeholders, presenting relevant information as needed.
