Job Description
Alert Afinta is looking for a General Worker/Char to join their branch in Krugersdorp. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing general warehouse duties as well as ensuring cleanliness and organization in various areas, including kitchens, meeting rooms, and staff facilities.
Key Responsibilities
General Warehouse Duties
- Stock taking, binning, picking, packing, checking, and moving stock.
- Ensure that the warehouse remains clean and organized at all times.
Tea/Coffee and Kitchen Duties
- Serve tea/coffee according to scheduled times.
- Ensure fridges are stocked with the required stock.
- Regularly clean kitchen equipment and ensure all cutlery and crockery are washed on time.
- Maintain cleanliness in staff toilets, tea rooms, and employee workstations.
- Change black refuse bags frequently and ensure bins are always empty.
- Keep the pantry/storeroom neat and tidy.
Meeting Room Preparation
- Prepare boardrooms for meetings and ensure they are clean and tidy.
Stock Management and Filing
- Monitor grocery usage and communicate stock levels.
- Check and file grocery order forms and ensure accurate distribution of grocery allocation to departments.
- Assist with filing documentation, such as invoices and credit notes.
Other Adhoc Functions
- Perform any reasonable requests for adhoc functions or tasks as required.
Qualifications and Experience
- Education: Matric (Grade 12).
- Experience: Previous experience in a corporate environment is advantageous.
- Skills:
- Ability to read, write, and speak fluently in English.
- Basic numerical skills.
- Organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to complete order forms.
- High level of integrity, able to maintain confidentiality.
- Good interpersonal skills and business office etiquette.
- Good grooming and presentation.
Personal Attributes
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently.
- Clear criminal record.
