About the Role
TFG @home Livingspace Store (Loch Logan) is seeking a Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring timely and professional delivery of furniture to our customers and stores while maintaining high safety and service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Transportation and Delivery: Deliver furniture to customers and stores as per schedules.
- Delivery Process Management: Oversee and execute delivery and returns processes efficiently.
- Team Coordination: Supervise Delivery Assistants during road tasks to ensure seamless operations.
- Furniture Assembly: Assist with assembling furniture upon delivery to customers.
- Inspection and Maintenance: Conduct vehicle inspections, check assembly tools, and track vehicle maintenance.
- Safety and Cleanliness: Ensure vehicle cleanliness and staff safety during delivery trips.
- Ad-hoc Duties: Handle additional deliveries, collections, or other tasks as required.
Requirements
Education:
- Matric certificate.
Licenses:
- Valid Code 10 driver’s license.
- Valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a truck driver.
Skills:
- Basic computer literacy.
- Good command of English (spoken, read, and written).
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to handle heavy furniture and assist with assembly.
- Teamwork and multitasking skills.
Attributes:
- Professional, detail-oriented, and safety-conscious.
- Ability to follow instructions and escalate issues when necessary.
- Reliable under pressure and able to work overtime when needed.
- Familiarity with confidential handling of information (POPI compliance).
