About the Role

TFG @home Livingspace Store (Loch Logan) is seeking a Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring timely and professional delivery of furniture to our customers and stores while maintaining high safety and service standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Transportation and Delivery: Deliver furniture to customers and stores as per schedules.
  • Delivery Process Management: Oversee and execute delivery and returns processes efficiently.
  • Team Coordination: Supervise Delivery Assistants during road tasks to ensure seamless operations.
  • Furniture Assembly: Assist with assembling furniture upon delivery to customers.
  • Inspection and Maintenance: Conduct vehicle inspections, check assembly tools, and track vehicle maintenance.
  • Safety and Cleanliness: Ensure vehicle cleanliness and staff safety during delivery trips.
  • Ad-hoc Duties: Handle additional deliveries, collections, or other tasks as required.

Requirements

  • Education:

    • Matric certificate.
  • Licenses:

    • Valid Code 10 driver’s license.
    • Valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
  • Experience:

    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a truck driver.
  • Skills:

    • Basic computer literacy.
    • Good command of English (spoken, read, and written).
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
    • Ability to handle heavy furniture and assist with assembly.
    • Teamwork and multitasking skills.
  • Attributes:

    • Professional, detail-oriented, and safety-conscious.
    • Ability to follow instructions and escalate issues when necessary.
    • Reliable under pressure and able to work overtime when needed.
    • Familiarity with confidential handling of information (POPI compliance).
