Marvel Placement Consultants is looking for a Receptionist to join their dynamic team in Elarduspark, Pretoria. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a professional environment and enjoys performing a variety of tasks, from managing front-desk reception to supporting the recruitment team. The position plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of daily activities and assisting different departments within the company.

Key Responsibilities:

Reception Duties:

  • Greeting and Welcoming Visitors: Provide a positive and helpful attitude when welcoming visitors to the office.
  • Phone Call Management: Handle incoming calls, direct them to the appropriate staff members, and take messages as needed.
  • General Inquiries: Respond to inquiries, offering information about the company’s services.
  • Maintain Reception Area: Ensure that the reception area remains clean, organized, and presentable at all times.

Stock Inventory Control:

  • Manage Office Supplies: Oversee stock levels of office supplies, stationery, and consumables.
  • Track and Record Stock Usage: Ensure that supplies are adequately stocked by monitoring inventory and conducting regular stock checks.
  • Monthly Reports: Provide management with detailed stock reports to keep track of inventory levels.

Basic Administration:

  • Administrative Tasks: Perform tasks like filing, scanning, shredding, and copying documents.
  • Correspondence Management: Handle incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries, ensuring timely distribution.
  • Meeting Room Bookings: Schedule and organize meetings, including arranging refreshments when necessary.

Assisting the Recruitment Division:

  • Administrative Support: Offer administrative assistance to the recruitment team, helping with tasks like formatting CVs.
  • CV Formatting: Ensure that candidate CVs are accurately typed and presented in a professional manner.
  • Lead Generation: Assist the recruitment team by generating leads and identifying potential candidates.

General Office Support:

  • Documentation Preparation: Help prepare reports, presentations, and other essential documents for the team.
  • Departmental Support: Assist other departments with administrative tasks as required.
  • Errands: Run errands and perform tasks in line with the company's needs.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric (Grade 12) qualification is required.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a similar reception or administrative role.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and own vehicle.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Key Skills:

  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication abilities are essential.
  • Multitasking: Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
