Purpose of the Role:

To assemble heavy-duty trucks and sub-components in alignment with the Volvo Production System (VPS), meeting Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and People (SQCDP) targets. The role requires adherence to safety standards, process improvement activities, and maintaining production equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assemble trucks and sub-components per sprint instructions and plant targets.
Perform 5S and housekeeping duties (Sort, Set, Shine, Standardize, Sustain).
Maintain and report on tooling and equipment.
Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety regulations strictly.
Participate in Kaizen (continuous improvement) and Gemba (on-site observation) activities.
Report any deviations to Production Team Leader promptly.

Minimum Requirements:

Education:

Grade 12 with Mathematics and Science.

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in a similar assembly or manufacturing environment.

Ability to use basic hand tools.
Physically fit – able to lift heavy equipment.
Able to read and follow technical assembly instructions.
Technically minded and practical.
Basic computer literacy.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written – English).
Good problem-solving ability.
Team-oriented, self-driven, reliable, and resilient.
High attention to detail.
Ability to meet deadlines and performance targets.
Flexible and motivated.
