TWK Agri has an opportunity available for a Cashier within the Trade division at its Middelburg, Mpumalanga operation.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing customer transactions accurately and efficiently. Duties include processing payments, handling cash, greeting customers, issuing receipts and correct change, maintaining a clean checkout area, and assisting with general store duties such as stocking shelves, pricing items and conducting stock takes.
Responsibilities and Duties
Bag, box and wrap merchandise and prepare packages for shipment.
Compute and record transactions accurately.
Count money in cash drawers at the beginning of shifts and ensure adequate change is available.
Sort, count and wrap notes and coins.
Establish or identify prices of goods.
Tabulate bills using calculators, cash registers or optical scanners.
Greet customers entering the establishment.
Issue receipts, refunds, credits or change due to customers.
Keep periodic balance sheets of transaction amounts and numbers.
Receive payments by cash or card.
Maintain clean and orderly checkout areas.
Stock shelves.
Mark prices on shelves and items.
Conduct stock takes.
Minimum Requirements
Matric / Grade 12.
Computer literate.
Previous cashier experience.
Ability to work accurately with money.
Ability to work effectively with customers.
Good interpersonal skills.
Bilingual in Afrikaans and English will be advantageous.
