Clover is currently recruiting for a Merchandiser to join its Commercial team in Queensburgh, KwaZulu-Natal.

Purpose of the Job

The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing allocated stores by maintaining stock levels, merchandising products, minimising returns, and building strong relationships with store management to ensure products are always available and displayed according to company standards.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Stock Control

  • Ordering and maintaining the correct stock levels.

  • Applying stock control measures in-store and in storage areas.

  • Minimising and processing product returns according to company procedures.

  • Preventing out-of-stock situations and reporting shortages when they occur.

  • Placing accurate and timely stock orders.

  • Managing crates and equipment according to company policy.

Merchandising

  • Ensuring products are clean, neatly packed, and correctly displayed.

  • Packing shelves according to approved store layouts and merchandising standards.

  • Maintaining shelf displays in line with planograms.

  • Ensuring price indicator (PI) labels are displayed correctly.

  • Maintaining refrigerators and product displays.

  • Installing and maintaining point-of-sale promotional material.

  • Identifying opportunities to improve product visibility in-store.

Administration and Customer Service

  • Completing all required administrative tasks accurately.

  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with store management, Area Managers, Head Office, customers, and fellow merchandisers.

  • Providing excellent customer service while representing the Clover brand professionally.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must have:

  • Grade 12 (National Senior Certificate) or an equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification.

  • Good command of Business English.

  • Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
