Job Description

As a Warehouse Assistant, you will support all activities related to receiving, storing, moving, and delivering inventory. Your responsibilities will include:

Safety, Health, and Environment:

Maintain a safe work environment in line with health and safety regulations (MHSA)
Follow housekeeping and environmental compliance principles
Participate in safety meetings and activities (SLAMs, HPHs, Risk Assessments)

Performance and Delivery:

Assist with GRV systems queries
Handle inventory tasks: receiving, binning, picking, delivering, and moving goods
Report discrepancies or damages to stock or equipment
Use FIFO warehousing and 5S housekeeping principles
Perform cycle counts, stock checks, bin labelling, and handle redundant stock
Support OTIF (On Time In Full) processes for receiving and issuing stock
Compile basic reports and maintain necessary documentation
Oversee delivery of materials to the plant area

Minimum Qualifications

Grade 12 or N3 Technical
Certificate in Supply Chain or Logistics (NQF 4) preferred
Valid South African Code B Driver’s Licence
Advantageous Licences: Forklift, Overhead Crane, Light Delivery Vehicle, Truck, Reach Truck

Experience and Skills Required

2–3 years of warehouse-related experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and SAP
Basic project and resource management knowledge
Problem-solving ability using systematic methods
Understanding of warehousing standards and practices
