About the Role:

This role is responsible for overseeing all inventory-related operational activities during a shift at the Johannesburg Distribution Centre (DC). The primary focus is ensuring inventory accuracy, efficient stock investigations, and streamlined supply chain processes. The role also plays a critical part in improving operational efficiency, achieving KPIs, and maintaining compliance with health and safety standards while supporting and developing team performance.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure customer orders are dispatched on time and meet KPI requirements

  • Manage labour costs in relation to shift volumes and hours

  • Oversee housekeeping standards and ensure the team maintains them

  • Set clear goals for individuals and monitor performance

  • Review and improve internal processes to increase efficiency

  • Embed company values into daily team operations

  • Uphold inventory accuracy and manage stock investigations

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives

Preferred Experience:

  • E-commerce industry exposure

  • ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc.)

  • Budget and cost management

  • LEAN or continuous improvement methodologies

  • Performance and people management, including knowledge of industrial relations


Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate (required)

  • Higher Certificate in Supply Chain or Logistics (preferred)

  • 3–5 years of supervisory experience in logistics or distribution

  • Experience managing people and operations

  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills

  • Willingness to work shifts, including weekends, in a 24/7/365 operation
